The society were privileged enough to play at Brocket Palmerston Championship course, a fine and testing long course that was in tip top condition even though it had been raining for most of the week. There were five four balls and all come off the course having had a great time, though it took 5 hours to complete the round and the scores did not necessarily reflect this. We were fortunate that we only saw a few spells of rain and the conditions were ideal for an enjoyable round of golf.
Many thanks must go to our wooden spoon winner Phil Marlor for arranging a substantial discount for this fine day.
On the day the winners were as follows: 1st Mark Brownjohn - 36 points, 2nd Ian Coath - 35 points, 3rd Danny Horne - 33 points.
The longest drive was won by Woody and nearest the pin was Danny Horne.
Thankfully our reverend Captain Mr Steve Corley did not adopt his pastoral presentation pose this time!!
