This was a Ryder Cup jolly organised by your very own Tour man Mr Dave Brown. What a guy, he sorted out a great venue and even arranged for Europe to stuff the Yanks on their own turf-splendid stuff.
We played 36 holes over 2 days with the Ryder Cup on the sunday night being the focus of our attentions albeit a certain dignified member of our society- yes your very own Capitano Mr Steve Corley was in double celebratory mood as he managed an ACE on the 10th.Much to his bemusement-he didn`t think it was that good a shot- he slotted a 3 iron in from 195 yards on the 10th hole of The Constable course. It cost him a few quid, but hey ho who cares.
Kevin Tyler won the money overall with a sneaky win over John "Rocky" Searle. John Coyle & Jules won the nearest the pins. Below are a couple of snaps of the last hole-a real toughie! Kev Tyler managed to top it about 20 feet only bettered by our beloved Captain who knocked it forward about 200mm.
