Letchworth GC July 2017 Results & Future Events

A splendid turn out at this rather nice course for our 6th anniversary golf extravaganza.  El Capitano was mucho chufto at the turnout, 24 in all and a right good bunch it was too!

It was noticeable that Crow and Noel had a bit of a spurt on at Letchworth - long may it continue! Not sure whether it was the North Herts air or the fact that they were playing with good golfers.  Anyway we had some worthy results and some rather forgetful scores posted on this day, notably El Capitano's son Alex who only managed a paltry 14 points (or should I say poultry as he collected the turkey award). This was closely contested by Noel with 16 points - one of his better scores, one place higher was John Scarratt Jnr with 19 points, a previous winner!

On to the podium finishes.......

In 3rd place with 35 points (on countback) - John Scarratt Snr
In 2nd place with 35 points - Liam Walker
In 1st place with 39 points - Phil Marlor (still no mates!)

Team Result winners:  Crow, The Postman, Dandido and Liam (working on a nickname)

Nearest the pin in one : Rocky
Nearest the pin in two :  John Scarratt Jnr

Couple of old wooftas!

There was one more award to be had on the day, this was El Capitano's Challenge Cup winner.  This player had the best cumulative score over 4 rounds during the year and has been a regular and consistent supporter of the days and it went to.......
