Our resilient Captain rocked up without his cast and beetled around in a buggy playing some better than average golf under the circumstances. On the day we had a great turnout of 34 however poor old Roy had to go home due to an ankle injury sustained whilst washing his hair!
We expected some high scores as one or two of the society members had been playing some tasty golf in the past weeks and it almost panned out this way, but unnoticed Glyn Davidson stealthily crept up the field to take the honours on the day. In second place keeping his form going was Dave Brown and third also keeping his average up was Dan Gatfield who pipped Jules to 3rd place.
Nearest the pin was Mr Cool, Dan Maguire and George "Amazingly" Wallace grabbed the nearest the pin in two (the only green he hit in regulation!).
Following the event, the new handicaps are shown below:
On the day Rocky who has since regained his good looks was exceedingly helpful, he collected the day's monies and took up the role of chief photographer, ably helped by Pat and as such has managed to regain a shot! Wink, wink..... nothing to do with his crap golf.
