Panshanger GC Results - March 2016

On a bitterly cold March morning the first outing of the 2016 saw the society visit Panshanger golf course. There was a good turnout of 21 golfers plus our very able Capitano who due to a rugby injury (nearly scoring after a 50 yard run, beating 6 players in the process) joined us in a buggy.

Luckily this society has many people willing to offer help and this day was no exception. On hand on the day we had a score card marker in Dan Gatfield, money collector in Rocky, chief photographer in Danny Horne, score card checker in Andrew Baxter A.K.A. Dynamo, a society day organiser in Tim Mountain (and Jess), our beloved invalid and crutch wielding Captain who all make the day run smoothly and hopefully enjoyable for everyone.  In some cases we know that this process can age people so we are always looking for new recruits.

Here are a few captions from our chief photographer Danny Horne:

The winners on the day were:

1st Place - Jules with a fantastic 4 over par gross and 38 points
2nd Place - Danny Horne (on countback) with 36 points
3rd Place - Rocky III with 36 points too.

There were some notable performances, Liam was just pipped into 4th place with a great 36 points (including 3 blobs on his card) and has through general play been cut a shot. Steve Livermore played one of his best rounds ever and came in with 34 points as did Stuart Muir.  Crow shot a dazzling 35 as did new boy Terry Johnson.

Team prize was won by Rocky IV, Kev Tyler and Darren Smith.
Nearest the pin: Rocky V
Nearest the pin in 2: Kev Tyler
Numpty of the day: George Wallace (again) and thanks to David Howard for bringing his golf clubs.

Here are the new handicaps as at March 2016.
